Unanswered: Can't use SQL*PLUS of 7.3.4 to connect to 9.0.1 database

    Hi,

I have a Oracle 9.0.1 database on my PC.
I try to connect to it from a HPUX unix server with Oracle 7.3.4, and get the message:
    sqlplus system@dbadb

    SQL*Plus: Release 3.3.4.0.0 - Production on Tue Feb 26 07:41:15 2002

Copyright (c) Oracle Corporation 1979, 1996. All rights reserved.

    Enter password:
ERROR: ORA-03113: end-of-file on communication channel

    I can however:
    - connect to any version 7 or 8 database from the same server
    - Connect to the version 9 database from a 8.1.7 unix server

Oracle support doesn't know this problem.

Does anyone have the same problem connecting to 9.x database with 7.x client?
Please let ke know if you do / do not have the problem, and what OS it's on.

May you post any client trace file?

Unfortunately (?!??) I have no more 7.x databases avilable... however it should work.
