    Unhappy Unanswered: "panic"

We' ve got an Informix IDS 7.23 UC5 running on Solaris 5.6.

The in the last 4 days our database went down 2 times with the same error!

15:56:38 Checkpoint Completed: duration was 0 seconds.
    16:01:28 mt.c, line 5977, thread 8, proc id 15986, Invalid Mutex Type.
16:01:31 PANIC: Attempting to bring system down

Is there anything we can do the get rid of this errors?
I can't find any information about this error.

This is a known bug with the 7.2X series. Look at your release notes and you will see. Below is a link to a brief article about it - basically telling you to upgrade to 7.30 UC2 - personally I would recommend you upgrade to 7.31 UC4 or higher - this has been real stable.

From the release notes as open unix issues:

56549 SYSTEM CRASHED WITH "INVALID MUTEX TYPE" IN AIO VP
DURING LIGHT APPEND. OCCURRED AFTER INTERRUPTING
    QUERY.

61705 IF QUERY IS INTERUPTED IN LA_CHECKBUF() AND THERE IS
STILL OUTSTANDING IO THEN ONLINE CAN CRASH
WITH "INVALID MUTEX TYPE" IN AIO VP OR KAIO

89597 ONLINE CRASH WITH MESSAGE "MT.C LINE # ... INVALID
MUTEX TYPE " AS ONLY INFORMATION IN MESSAGE LOG.
