    Unanswered: simple outer join

    Hi,

I have two tables - EmailData and EmailSent. EmailSent is a proper subset of EmailData (All records that exist in EmailSent are already present in EmailData).

What I now need is an optimized query to return only those records of
EmailData that do NOT exist in EmailSent. I had read somewhere that the best way way to use a double outer join, but I cannot recollect the syntax!

    Any suggestions?

Something like this should do what you want.
    Code:
    select a.*
       from EmailData a,
            EmailSent b
       where a.id = b.id (+)
         and b.id is null
