    Unanswered: 9iAS & 9.0.1 to same server

Well I have now installed both 9iAs and 9.0.1 to same server (RedHat 7.1) and problem is now ORACLE_HOME enviroment.
Do you have some good tip to give, how to give ORACLE_HOME variable two different locations?

when I use ORACLE_HOME=/u01/app/oracle/product/9.0.1 -sqlplus will work fine but iAS httpd not.
Otherwise when I use ORACLE_HOME=/u01/app/oracle/product/9iAS, iAS httpd works fine but sqlplus not.

    any suggestions?

I would suggest using two seperate users for the RBDMS and the iAS.

    oracle:dba Oracle Software owner
    ias:iad IAS Software owner

This would be easy to reconfig

    chown -R ias:ias /ias/dir

    This works for our enviorment.

    Good luck.

I would use two different uses and the software owner.

    example:

    oracle:dba Oracle Software Owner
    ias:ias 9iAs Software Owner

    Easy to reconfig

    (create users 1st)

    chown -R ias:ias /ias/dir

    Reset enviroment variables

    start services.

    Good Luck
