    Unanswered: Error during Delete

    Hello All,

    I am getting following error while deleting.

    SQL0964C The transaction log for the database is full.

    In DB2DIag lof following message occured is:

    DIA3609C Log file was full

    I am trying to delete around 30,000 rows thru program.

    an any one help me in this. Can I have a commit in intervals during delete.

    Hi,
    you can increase the logfile size in the db configuration thro' control center. (right click your database in control center, select 'Configure option' and go to 'Logs' tab and change the log file size)

    If you have space restirction on increasing the logs,
    you can try deleting the 30000 rows in batches (selectively) for ex. if those rows are spread across time, you can delete the rows month by month

    If you want to delete ALL the rows in the table, you can use "load" command and load a single line file by choosing "replace" option

    load from <one row file> replace into <table name>
