    Unanswered: Multiple Field Index confusion

I am trying to set up a table so that the same person can be added multiple times but only when another field is different. THe second field is a form header ID and the table is essentially the footer to the table. In other words, I want to NOT be able to add the same person twice for the same event (the header). This has something to do with the index button and I have seen it in sample MS applications but I cannot figure out the procedure to do it myself. Any suggestions/guidance are MOST appreciated.
    TIA,
    Rick O

    There are just five fields:

    RecordID (set as primary)
    HeaderID (indexed with dups OK)
    Rider (indexed with dups OK)
    HomeMiles
    Adjustment

I'd like to be able to set it up so that I can put the same person in as often as necessary but only to the extent that they have a different HeaderID.

The question is how to make an index that considers two fields simultaneously.....

    Thanks!

    It's simple.

Just open your table in design mode,
Then go menubar: View | Indexes,
Insert empty row after Primary Key and specify the second field,
Do not specify index name in this row.

    Save the table.

    Should bo allset for now.
