    Question Unanswered: standalone PHP & DB2 connection

    Hi,

    I want to use PHP as an standalone application. PHP is installed in a AIX server and I have a DB2 database in another AIX server. When I execute scripts under Apache everything works fine, but when I try to execute them with crontab or in a shell, the connection to the database fails.

    I've already added the magic line:
    #!/path-to-php/ to the script
    and the
    >php -q script.php call responds with an SQL error
    I'm using the same routine that I use under Apache to connect to the database.

    Please, can anyone of you give me some help ??

    Regards,

    Paulo

    As nobody answered my question, I'll do it myself:

    Hey, buddy!

    I think you'll probably will not get an answer. All those who read your post didn't know what to do or didn't have the time to tell you how...

    So, I suggest you to wait for a soul with charity.....who knows? Maybe you can get it......

    Hey buddy!!!

    Check to be sure that when you issue the command to connect to DB2 is executed in the same shell instance, not in a different.

    Just making some assumptions here. Can you post the SQL error code?

    Regards
