Red face Unanswered: adding up times

I have a table in which I store times in short format of hh:mm, which is the amount of time I spend at a job. Each record also stores the job name. At the end of each week I need to run a report that adds up the total time spent at each job. The problem is I can't figure out how to add up short times like that and come up with a total. Please no vba or sql (I'm an access novice at this point but I'm learning fast) unless it's the only way to solve this.

    Thanks!

Take a look at property "Running Sum" of textbox TimeSpentForJob.

    doesn't work

Couldn't get that to work before, but I think I had a duh moment. I have to have an active box to add it up above it hidden, then have the sum displayed below.

    THanks.

Just create another textbox txtTimeSpentForJob2 set datasource to field TimeSpentForJob, make it visible, set property "Running Sum" to OverGroup or OverAll. Run report.
    Is it working?

Yep, it's working beautifully. Took me the last hour to figure it out, but I got it working just before I saw your last reply.

I was trying to do it in a query, but this is much easier in a report.

    Thanks for the tip!
