    Unanswered: Missing ActiveX Controls

    Hi All,

I'm using Access 97 on an NT 4.0 workstation. Seems my list of ActiveX Controls is empty. I've tried reinstalling Access 97 but they are still missing. Can someone give me some direction as how to get these back?

    Thanks.

I figured out the solution to this problem if anyone is interested. My workstation wasn't using the correct version of the comcat.dll found in %SYSTEMROOT%\system32\. To fix this, unregister the dll (regsvr32 /u comcat.dll). Rename the file (ex. comcat.lld). Copy the comcat.dll from the MS Office cd to %SYSTEMROOT%\system32 and register it (regsvr32 comcat.dll). Oh yeah, make sure you are out of Access before doing this.

Hope someone else finds this info useful.

    Cheers.
