    Question Unanswered: Output

    Hi everyone,
Just a quick question; i am exporting lots of data using sqlplus and a query; there is lots of output to the screen - can i turn it off? I have tried set term off and it doesn't appear to do anything (but who knows).

Just think it would speed up the spooling of the data.

    Anyhelp greatly appreciated...!

    One of these should work:
    Code:
    set echo off
    set feedback off
    set termout off

    you may also :
    set pagesize 0

and you should put the 'set termout off' in your script and run it in sqlplus with : @ or start

ok yeah knew pagesize, but i use the ones paul suggested; they don't do anything - I have used them before...sigh.

any ideas about why this would still show the output?

As I had showed you before, you must write the 'set termout off' in your script, and run in sqlplus with '@' or start, and it will work

    I think:
fist: turning your application code, always it's the sql code
    second: turing the memory
third: turning the logical and physical medium
last: pay attation to your os

    Cool audit or tuning

I'm making an audit tool, for all Oracle databases.
If you want some help, don't hesitate to ask me.

    bye
