The structure of the SYSCAT views is documented in 'SQL Reference' ...

SYSIBM tables are not documented for DB2 UWO .... If you are curious, OS/390 manuals used to have SYSIBM documented ... Most of the descriptions will hold for UWO also ....

I understand that IBM will be maintaining the structure of SYSCAT views across versions but might change the SYSIBM table structures .... Hence it is best to use SYSCAT views ....

    Hello,

The following URL will take you to the IBM documentation site for DB2 UDB where you can find almost all manuals (both PDF and HTML formats):

    http://www-4.ibm.com/cgi-bin/db2www/...bs.d2w/en_main

To get details on all SYSCAT and SYSIBM tables, refer to "SQL Reference" manual under the "Application Development" section.

    Run following command :
DB2 list tables for schema syscat

you will get all the tables / views under syscat

Then run following command for the tables you want to know more

DB2 describe table syscat.<tablename> show detail
