Unanswered: isqlw.exe: The ordinal 29 could not be located in the dynamic link library odbcbcp.dl
Query Analyzer fails to execute. I just get a pop-up window with the following message:
isqlw.exe: The ordinal 29 could not be located in the dynamic link library odbcbcp.dll
It used to work fine, I'm not sure what I did to stop it working.
I've tried re-installing SQL Server 2000 and the ODBC drivers and I still get the same problem. Any help appreciated.
Thanks. - Andy Abel
Perhaps MDAC is out of sequence. Check the version of MDAC being used. If it's SQL 2000 then MDAC has to use Version 2.7
Very Simple Solution...
Go to WinNT folder under root directory... and search for the file odbcbcp.dll
You might find one odbcbcp.dll under i386 folder and another under system32 folder.
Might be under system32 folder the filename is like ODBCBCP.dll.
Just delete it and copy it from i386 with all lower case (verify that after its copied, if all there letters are in lower case).
Then try ... Hopefully you'll be fine.
