Unanswered: How do I show the link table path on Splash

I have an application which is linked to a backend database. However, as it is a work in progress I reinstall and uninstall the front end nearly everyday. Soemtimes the front end is linking to my c drive backend instead of the server, as I forget to change it over in the hubble bubble of my daily routine. Call me slack, truth is that the reason fro this application is that I have a job that three people would struggle to do.

So I thought it would be a good idea to add the linking path to the splash screen, this would remind me to relink the backend and thus prevent possible data recording errors. My problem is I have no idea how to find the path to populate a label or text box on the form.

The path to linked tables is stored in the system table MySysObjects.

To see the Access system tables in the database window, go to
Tools - Options - View and check "show system tables".
(exact wording may differ a little, currently working from Dutch Access 97)

Locate the table MySysObjects and look for the field called "Database".
Here you will finc the info you're looking for.

    Ciao
