    Unanswered: Calling DB2 Stored Procedure from Shell Scripts

    Hi All,

    I am running DB2 UDB 7.2 on a AIX machine and creating SQL Stored procedures on Windows NT client.
    What i need to do is call the Stored Procedures from a suite of shell scripts.
    How do i do this and please do point me to any web-site which contains this sort of info.
    Any help is appreciated.

    Rgds,

    p.s:I am very new to DB2 coming from a Oracle v8i background.

    Are you creating the Stored Procedures to run under AIX?

    If so, then once the database is correctly defined and accessible to the NT client you can use the db2 command line processor from a batch file;

    echo off
    db2 connect to xxxxxx user xxxxx using xxxxxx
    db2 call procedure(x,y,z)
    db2 terminate

    etc..
