I am fairly new to the DB2 arena, and have scoured the net for info on DBCS but to not much avail.
I have created a DB with the UTF-8 option, and after having created a table containing vargraphic columns, wish to insert some aisan characters.
If I use do this using the CLP, I have to save the file as unicode and the CLP reads the '@' as end of line, even though I have specified it as ';'.
If I use the GUI, then this falls over at the Japanese text, seeing it as end of file. I could be totally off the mark, here, and have to do conversions before insertion, but I thought that would not be necessary if I already had a UTF-8 DB.
