    Unanswered: SQL database password

    Hi,
I'm in the process of developing a small app in VB which connects to SQL Server. We intend to change the SQL server password every fortnight. As of now we've hard-coded it in the program. we certainly cannot recompile the program every fortnight with a new password.
What is the best way to get around this problem?

    Hi there.
You can make a stored procedure that changes the password and squedule it to run whenever you like. install the activeX component Jmail (or use SQL mail) on the SQL server and let the SP mail you the new, changed password.

    Hope this helps...
