    Question Unanswered: Need help on compiling SQL Stored Proc with gcc

    Hi All,

    I try to create and compile SQL-stored procs for DB2 7.2 using the "IBM DB2 Stored Proc builder" on a WINDOWS machine.

    I use g++ (gcc/MinGW) as c compiler.

    How do i have to set the DB2_SQLROUTINE_COMPILE_COMMAND variable to be able to compile the stored procs?

    the current setting is:
    g++ -Ie:\programs\sqllib\include SQLROUTINE_FILENAME.c -shared -o SQLROUTINE_FILENAME -Le:\programs\sqllib\lib -ldb2api

    thanx in advance.

    I guess you just have to use the recommended C compilers

    Microsoft Visual C++ 5.0 and 6.0

    IBM VisualAge C++ for Windows Ver 4.2 and 5.0

    if you don't have licenses on Microsoft Visual Basic 6.0 or C++ then just point your compiler. Find Javac.exe and take that path. I think that would work rather than using G++
