Hi,
We are getting an error while fetching some records from Oracle 8.1.6 DataBase Server from a jdbc thin client (classes12) . The error message is :
java.sql.SQLException: I/O Exception: Connection reset by peer: JVM_recv in socket input stream read at oracle.jdbc.dbaccess.DBError.throwSqlException(DBE rror.java) at oracle.jdbc.dbaccess.DBError.throwSqlException(DBE rror.java) at oracle.jdbc.dbaccess.DBError.check_error(DBError.j ava) at oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleResultSetImpl.next(Oracle ResultSetImpl.java) ...

We are suspecting that connection between Database server and our client is lost, but how/why this should happen ? ( There is no firewall etc between DB server and the client)

Any help is appriciated ...
Thanks for your interest ...
