    Wink Unanswered: How to start two oracle instances on Solaris?

    Hi,

    My oracle server's release is "workgroup 8.1.7", OS is Solaris ,
    I want to start two instances at one time ,how to do?

    try 'dbstart', this should startup all databases on a server.

    Or write a script that sets ORACLE_SID for every database, then invokes svrmgrl and starts the database.
