    Unanswered: Formating expression fields

I want to use expression fields on some of my reports.
    For instance: =[PURCHASE CURRENCY] & " " & [AMOUNT]

Sure I could use 2 separete fields for this and try to move the around until the fit. But it wont look nice. A lot of space depending on the amount.

My problem is I do not know how to format the field. The sum comes out like this:

SKr 1020000.000 etc. I would like to set the amount to Standard format.

    Making it look like:
    SKr 1,002,000.00

But the formating is being ignored. Probably since [PURCHASE CURRENCY] is a text field while [AMOUNT] is a Number field.

    Any suggestions?

    Best regards

    Jo´

the format function should do the job fine there:

    =[PURCHASE CURRENCY] & " " & format([AMOUNT];"Standard")

you can check the help on the format function for more predefined or user-defined formats.

Came back to ask again, since I got syntax error, but found out while conecting my slooow modem that it should be a comma instead a semi colon.

    Like this:

    =[PURCHASE CURRENCY] & " " & format([AMOUNT],"Standard")

(For any one else having the same q...)
