Unanswered: SP2 did not upgrade the ODBC Driver?

I recently applied SP1 and SP2 to an MSDE 2000 install. It appears as if the ODBC Driver was not upgraded, but the DB claims that the SP's were applied properly.

If I look at the driver information under ODBCAD32.exe, SQL Server claims to have this information: SQL Server, 2000.80.194.00, Microsoft Corporation, SQLSRV32.DLL, 2000-08-06

If I execute the following query to return system info:
SELECT @@VERSION AS 'System Info', SERVERPROPERTY('ProductLevel')AS 'Service Pack'

    I get:
    System Info
    Microsoft SQL Server 2000 - 8.00.534 (Intel X86) Nov 19 2001 13:23:50
Copyright (c) 1988-2000 Microsoft Corporation Standard Edition on Windows
    NT 5.0 (Build 2195: Service Pack 2)

    Service Pack

All other machines that I have applied SQL2K SP2 in the past have had the ODBC driver upgraded to 2000.80.580.00 (which I need).

Anyone ever seen this or care to offer an idea on how to upgrade just the ODBC driver? I remember reading in the past that you cannot just upgrade the SQLSRV32.dll.

    Thanks for the bandwith.

You might be able to get around this by using the
Component Checker Utility. Scroll down the page until you find it...

This page also has instructions on how to force a rollback of an MDAC install. This will let you go to previous driver and install all over again.

I have used it before and it fixed my problem without incident.
