Unanswered: Counting Unduplicated Group Headers in a Report

In a report, how do I display a count indicating the number of unduplicated values in a group header. For example:

I have a group header [SchoolName], then details belonging to the header [StudentID]. The header groups all students belonging to the same school. There are hundreds of different schools. I know exactly how many schools there are, but I need that count to display in my report. I've tried Count[SchooName], but I get the TOTAL number of students belonging to that school.

    Thank you in advance.

I am not sure I understand but If you do a total sum query you will have a list of all single schools. Then, add a count a the bottow of the report.

    Try this:

Query wizard; summary option; check sum of items that are countable like students ID. So the list will thell you the school name and the number of student ID for each. then also check the count thing on the right.

Do a report base on that query and add a counter on the bottom of the report ( if it's not done automaticely )

    hope this helps
