Use conditional formatting instead, changing field properties in code will always result in the complete form to change.

    Hallo Apel

Since I'm new to Access : What do you mean by conditional formating?
Do I have to put two fields and made them visible/not visible by
    the condition?

    Thanks very much

    Orna,

Select the field you want to change. Click on Format, Conditional Formatting and enter your criteria.

This is assuming you are using Access 2002

Because conditional formatting is not part of Access 97, is it ?
