Unanswered: Cannot kill Oracle processes - shutdown not working

    Hi,

    Oracle 8.1.6.2 Solaris 8

I tried to sun a script which took a long time and seemed to hang.
So, I CTRL-C and aborted. Later when I tried to run it again, it gave me a ORA-00054: resource busy and acquire with NOWAIT specified.

I then attempted to SHUTDOWN using SVRMGRL connect/internal. That did not work.

I have since aborted and tried to kill the Oracle processes in UNix but I have not succeeded. Can anybody help.

    Thanks

    Cecil

Re: Cannot kill Oracle processes - shutdown not working

You may also use shutdown abort if it happens again.
