I am linking tables to a SQL Server database thru Access 97. The DSN for the connection specifies using SQL Server authentication and not a trusted connection. However, when trying to view one of the tables thru Access I get this error: [Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]Login failed for user xxx. Where xxx is the user id I'm logged onto the machine with. If I delete all the linked tables and try to relink by creating a new DSN that uses SQL Server authentication specifying a valid userid & password, I can test the connection successfully, yet when I try to link using this DSN, I get the previous ODBC error for the user id I'm logged into the machine with (not the one I provided in the DSN). Has anybody seen anything like this or have any ideas what I can do to stop it from using a trusted connection?
