    Database link created.

    SQL> select * from abc@nav.nav.domian;

    *
    ERROR at line 1:
    ORA-02085: database link NAV.NAV.DOMIAN connects to NAV.DOMAIN

    It appears that you are using global_names. In this case, the link name must match the target database name.

    Here is a clip from the oracle docs
    '...The value of the GLOBAL_NAMES initialization parameter determines whether the database link must have the same name as the database to which it connects. '

    Create Database Link nav using 'nav' ;
    The error is saying that the remote db's name is nav, so you can either let oracle fully qualify it for you, or you can do it yourself.

    create database link nav.domain using 'nav';

    Hope this helps.
