Unanswered: Lock Violation when running Update Query

I am using an Access DataBase on 6 networked PC's. Recently a hard drive went down on one of the PC's. So we put in new drive, set the machine up and reinstalled Access etc.

Now on this on machine I keep on getting the error message 'Access didn't update fields due to lock violations' when running an update query.

Any ideas what I could try with this machine ?.

What OS is the machine running under. If you were running Access on an OS with no understanding of file permissions (e.g. Win98) previously and now you're on an OS which expects permissions (e.g. Win2K) then this can cause problems if the logged-in user hasn't the correct permissions for the Access .mdb file or the folder it is located in.
