    Question Unanswered: user datatype

    In Sybase it is possible to create user datatype for table's colums.
    Is it the same in Oracle ? I don't find it in documentation ...

    This example is straight out of http://oradoc.photo.net/ora817/DOC/s...7/statem7d.htm

    CREATE TYPE foo_t AS OBJECT (a1 NUMBER, a2 NUMBER);
    CREATE TABLE foo_tab (b1 NUMBER, b2 foo_t);
    INSERT INTO foo_tab VALUES (1, foo_t(2,3));
