Post Unanswered: Critical buffer pool hit ratio

We are getting the following messages from Tivoli db monitoring manager, often.

db: Percent buffer pool hit ratio, data+index() no change decreases
    below 80
    Previous: 100 Percentage Current: 39.017 Effective: 39.017

db: Percentage package cache hit ratio () no change Decreases below 80
    (Previous: 100 Percentage Current: 76.19 Effective: 76.19)

Does this have to do with the parameters that we have configured the database instance with or the interaction of the application with the db2?

Thank you in advance for all your input.

    Regards,
    Visda
