Red face Unanswered: I need "select" without header

    Hi All!

    I have a such question.

    When I do

    select a, b, c from SomeTable
    go

    it prints out:

    ---- ----- ----
    a b c

The question is: is it possible to print out a, b, c without
    header, i.e. "-" - line.

    Thanks in advance!!!

    In isql:

    Parameters -b
disables the display of the table headers output.

But how do you get rid of the lines between multiple statements:

    blah blah output (query one)

    - <-- this one

    blah bla output (query two)

    Thanks

You could pipe isql to a tail as such....

isql -Uxx -Pxx -Sxx <<EOF | tail +3
    <sql statements>
    go
    EOF

"grep -v ..." will be better the "tail ..."
you can also use "awk ..." which will help you get rid of blank lines as well (but this may not give you the 'pretty output' you appear to want.
