    Unanswered: SQL 7.0 error 1101

I have an integrity check that is supposed to run on one of my databases. I keep getting this message when it attempts to run:

    Error 1101, Severity 17, State 10

[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]Could not allocate new page for database 'TEMPDB'. There are no more pages available in filegroup DEFAULT. Space can be created by dropping objects, adding additional files, or allowing file growth.

[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]CHECKTABLE terminated. A failure was detected while collecting facts. Possibly tempdb out of space or a system table is corrupt. Check previous errors.
    [Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]CHECKDB found 0 allo

tempdb was set to 190MB but I ran sp_checkdbtempsize and it had estimated that tempdb would need about 1200MB in order to do the integrity check on the database. I set tempdb to 2000MB and voila the job failed again and gave the message above again as well. Would CHECKTABLE fail even though I've allocated 2000MB or is it that one of the system tables is corrupt? Does anyone have any ideas?
