    Unanswered: Controlling Reports from Froms

The problem is that i have a report which i want to "preview".
I can open it in preview modes, until now it works fine.
But i want to run from the form the methods nextPage on the report,
i try reports("rptFactuur").nextPage, where rtpFactuur is my report. Just getting an "application or object undefined"-error.
Thats problem one, second the ShowNavigationButtons property is generating error when i use it in my report.

According a book i use "Access 2000 Developers Handbook, Volume I",
it should work fine, maybe i'm misread something or it can't be done.

    Thanx in advance,

Please show the code you are using in your attempt to page forward on the report.

The coding which i'm trying to use are

    Call Reports("rptFactuur").NextPage

    Methods like:
    =" " & [Reports]("rptFactuur").[Page] & " of " & [Reports]("rptFactuur").[Pages]

Work perfect on my form and if the report is at page 2 of 5, in my form it's also shows 2 of 5. so from the report to form works good, only from the form to report i just get some access-errors.

i don't know if you need some other code samples, this is all i use.

    Thanx

Your form has a textbox control which displays the current page of the report. That makes sense.

Sorry I can't help you. I don't know how to make the report page forward from the form.

    Thanx for looking at it,
i'm hoping someone can tell me if i'm doing something impossible or can tell me what i'm doing wrong.
I know you can do it with the snapshot viewer, the only GREAT disadvantage is that it's using and *.ocx control and i have some bad expeciences with that.

    Question about the application.
When the report is being previewed, why not let the user navigate through it themselves with the page Up/down keys or with the mouse and the record navigation buttons?

Thats the alternative when it's not going to work.

The global idea is the report in preview modes and a small form popup in which you can navigate the report, and 2 buttons, one for printing the other for returning to the original form where you can change the data.
that printing works fine, i even can zoom the report with different level like 200% or 10%.

But i can't navigate it, i also tried docmd.gotoPage but that isn't working either.
