    Unanswered: run time error 3077

    it says "run time error 3077, Syntax error(missing operators) in expression"

    The code is

    Criteria = "Construction Contract= " & Val(Me!Contract)
    rsCust.FindFirst Criteria

    Construction Contract is the table field, Contract is the name of text box on a form.

    Thks

    Try:
    Code:
    Criteria = "[Construction Contract] = " & Val(Me!Contract)
    rsCust.FindFirst Criteria

    Thanks, but it still does not work. The Construction Contract field has numbers, but its format is text. When I type number in Contract text box, the criteria variable is assigned the number, but if I type text, it has zero value. Get confused.

    I figure out the problem. just change the format of Construction Contract from text to number, and put [] in the expression. Now it works. THKS
