    Unanswered: max combo box sizes

I have an access database with 250,000 records. I'm needing to use a combo box to list a specific field for each record, with the autoexpand set to yes. Access is currently crapping out big time on this. Does Access have a limitation to this or is it based strictly on hardware. I'm thinking of setting the clients up on a terminal server in order to take advantage of the server's higher end cpu's, but I'm not sure if it's a software issue with Access just not being able to do this.

I believe when you view the list portion of a combo box or list box that is based on a table or query with more than 65536 records, you see only the first 65536 rows (2^16 don't ya know).

See Microsoft Knowledge Base Article - Q187342 for details.
This is the day the Lord has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it.
