Unanswered: Access crashes with "out of stack"

    Hi,

I have a form with a continous subform,
untill know pretty simple. I have about 10 main records with 3 records in the subform. some combo boxes with data and code.

Each time i open and close the form access locks 1 MB extra each time (running W2K and Access2000). after about 20 times access crashes with a memory problem.

    After this i installed SP2,
same problem only now i'm getting the error message "out of stack" when i have opened the form about 20 times.

has someone has the same experience and how did you solve it?

I think it's the code and some object variables that do not get reset when you close the form. Make sure you close all recordsets as soon as you don't need them anymore and (good practice) set all object variables to Nothing after using them.

    Hope this helps

    Thanx,

I noticed that with All forms, there is an increase in memory allocation.
Only with this form access crashes with a memory problem.

I had tried to make a new mdb file but that also didn't work.

I have removed the code from the form to see if that makes any difference, but the form still crashes.

Did you compile the code and compact the database AFTER removing the code from the form?

    No,
but i think one of mine controls are a little corrupt,
i have run forms with more data in a loop (open-close)
and i had no problem. i'm making to form again.
