Post Unanswered: Problem in ODBC connection to remote sql 7 - Please Help

I would like to know if anyone could help me...

I am connect to a remote sql server 7 using ODBC. The aplication is on the client side and running normally. Sometimes, I don't know why, I get one of this two errors:

Error 40002: 01000:[Microsoft][ODBC SQL ServerDriver][Named Pipes] Connection Transact

Error 40002: 08S01:[Microsoft][ODBC SQL ServerDriver][Named Pipes] Communication link error

Both of them make my aplication shut down. I already done thousands of tests, and none make this go rigth.
If there is anyone that already have this problem, or have some new idea that I can test, I aprecciate your contact.

If you want to know more details about this error I can always be more especific.

Many, Many Thank's in advance :-)

Try using TCP/IP instead of Named Pipes. Named pipes is always better when client and server are on the same computer, and is often, but not always, better on a LAN. For a LAN with congestion, TCP/IP offers some buffering that pipes doesn't. For a WAN, always use TCP/IP.
