Unanswered: how to log in management server

    Hi all,

After successfully install ora8i (8.1.7), I am trying to log in enterprise management server but fail, log in name and password default as sysman/oem_temp, hostname I used localhost, (I have tried 127.0.0.1, zmz, which is my computer name, but not work either)

Anyone has ideas and could give me a hand?

Thanks so much for your help!

does OMS need to be insalled seperately?

    Hi kluesen,

Thanks so much for your help, on the command line, I type

    oemctl start OMS

and the error message says service name invalid, I check all teh win2k services and did not find any service name like OMS or similar, so I guess I might not have installed OMS service,
    any ideas?

    Thanks

    Cool

You missed OMS during the installation. Go back to the Oracle Installer, check the inventory of installed products (first page).

If the OMS is not installed, do so. If it is - then create OMS repository, and then try to login. All this is documented in details Here , so you may read it.

    Hope that helps,
