I have a field called 'rate' on my subform and on my main form. The rate field on my subform is equal to the rate field on my main form. So, if a user enters 3 in the rate field of the main form, a 3 shows on my subform. That works fine.
What I want to find out is if there is a way to overwrite the rate that appears in the subform if the user wants to change the rate for that particular record in the subform. i.e. can the user change the 3 to read 10?
You could make the rate field in the subform a default value and refresh or requery against the rate field in the main form. In this way if the user wants to overwrite the rate there should be no problem, provided it is not the child field.
