    Unanswered: challenge - display entries week by week

    Hi

    I'm producing a project time report system. team members
    enters time spent on a project in a database.
    my question is how do i produce a report that writes out
    on a "week by week" basis for a whole year or quarter, how
    much time is spent on each project ? the report therefore
    needs to show the date at the beginning of the week and the time spent on a project.

    so for example once i execute this report it'll show something like below.



    Week 01-10 08-10 15-10 22-10 |total ---> goes onto end of quarter

    I understand how to use the sorting and grouping function
    of reports but can't figure out how to write out a date
    for every week plus i've got a feeling that the formatting will be a
    nightmare. I'm using access 97 as well.

    anyone up for a challenge ?

    I vaguely remember reading somewhere about Week(num) function have a look in help under week. This function returns the week number of the year and is a more normal reference for project teams (in contstruction anyway) for gannt charts and the like.
