    Question Unanswered: How do I replicate tables with LONG column

    Hello,

    I know that Oracle replication does not support of table with LONG column.

    I have an idea of creating manual replicating process using the sqlplus copy command,

    Any other idea, anyone ?

    Regards,

    Cool

    You can do:

    - export/import of the table with the LONG column;
    - place this table in separate tablespace and use transportable tablespaces;
    - convert LONG to CLOB and use Oracle replication (since Oracle 8 you can replicate CLOB)

    Hope that helps,
