Cool Unanswered: SQL3192N on LOAD with TIMESTAMPFORMAT

    Hello all,
I'm running 600k exported SyBase records into a DB2 table on NT using LOAD. The input data's timestamp isnt' in the format DB2 likes so I'm using the TIMESTAMPFORMAT "file type modifier" of LOAD.
    I'm getting:
SQL3192N In the filetmod a user specified format "TIMESTAMPFORMAT" beginning with the string "MM" is not valid.

    Here's my input string:
    232,958,"Y",302,302,0,"C","T",,8,"","BEDDDD, RMANS","","","4622","","","","","","","","","","", "","","","S","","","04/23/1997 00:00","","Y",,"Y",3407.09,2926.62,300.00

    Here's my LOAD control card:
db2 load from disk1\AS962336572.DEL of del modified by timestampformat="MM.DD.YYYY HH:MM" replace into CL_ASSIGNMENT_INFO

Has anyone run into this problem before?

Thanks for any information you might have!

    Question

    Hey Oliver,
at least I know know I'm not alone on this one. I was shown a slightly better manual on the topic in another forum, but it basically says the same thing.

    http://sp81.msi.umn.edu:999/DB2/db2d...e3.htm#db2dm36

Being a mainframer, I'd go to IBMLINK to see if there are any hits on the subject or to post the problem. Do you or anyone else know how to go about contacting IBM on DB2/UDB for NT problems like this?
    Thanks!

The following command worked for me ...

C:\Data\junk>db2 load from loadinput.del of del modified by timestampformat=\"MM/DD/YYYY HH:MM\" insert into t1

without quotes around the datetime in the sorce file ...
    ie
    "",04/23/1997 10:30
    rather than
    "","14/23/1997 10:30"

    HTH

    Cheers

    Thanks Sathyaram !!!

I missed the note part on the data movement doc which says ...

Note: Some characters, such as double quotation marks and back slashes, must be preceded by an escape character (for example, \).

Anyway, they could have make it more clearer by using the \" delimiters in the timestampformat examples.

    Regards,
    Oliver

    Unhappy

    I'm newer to use DB2.

I'm moving a Sybase database to DB2. When using "load" command, don't know how to format the timestamp.

    Sybase datafile:
    041, 000010258,00001,0000000030,,,99,Aug 1 1953 12:00:00:000AM,Aug 1 2021 12:00:00:000AM,Aug 1 1994 12:00:00:000AM,Aug 1 2021 12:00:00:000AM,Jun 30 1994 12:00:00:000AM

Can anyone tell me how to set the timestampformat in the load command? Many thx!!
