Hello there!

I have here a problem I hope someone can help me.

In the past I wrote a trigger to monitor a table A is updated (by using after update) and then if certain conditions apply to do changes in table B:

ON TABLE_A AFTER UPDATE

AS
IF UPDATE(enddate)
UPDATE TABLE_B
SET status = 'expired'
WHERE account_ID in
(
select acctKey from accounts
where enddate < getdate() - 1
)
GO

Now I want to the same with a trigger to monitore changes for a view and fire update on table B:
ON VIEW_name

AFTER UPDATE
/* DOESNT LIKE THAT !!!! -> WANT "INSTEAD OF" COMMAND */

AS
IF UPDATE(enddate)
UPDATE TABLE_B
SET status = 'expired'
WHERE account_ID in
(
select acctKey from accounts
where enddate < getdate() - 1
)
GO

I can't use the "after update" command with a view. Only "instead of" commands are allowed but I don't know how to use it with a view to get the same functionality as I got it with the table.

I hope someone can help me.
Thanks a lot
