Does someone have en experience of benchmark between SAS and Oracle 9i ? More specifically HRM offer from SAS.
Or nice informations about one of them ?

I think both solutions are interesting for us because they are integrated complete solutions. I don't like a best of breed approach indeed.
I don't want MS.

My needs :

database for one hundred thousand people
ETL to extract from an erp (not choosen : peoplesoft, hraccess,...?)
OLAP and rolap
datamining
for hr management analysis, reporting and simulations

SAS seems to be more powerfull in datamining and oracle more open.
What about SAS olap ?
What about datamining with oracle ?
What about the evolutions available with both technologies
