    Talking Unanswered: Subform.SourceObject question

I'm developing an interface for an application (Access 2002) that will be using a main form containing a subform. The subform may be populated at runtime by one of several possible forms depending on what button is selected on the main form.

My question: Once the subform is populated using the subform.sourceobject method, when I try to add or change a record using the subform, I get an error that the form has not been opened yet.

Is there a some way to activate or "open" the form within the subform so it will act right? (The forms work fine when using DoCmd.Open, but I wanted to open them within the subform).

    Thanks a lot,

you can't reference a subform with the form name
