Question Unanswered: Exporting data from Access to Excel

    Hello peeps,

So I want to export data from certain fields out an Access2000 form to certain cells into an existing Excel2000 sheet. I've read about this and it seems you can use de DDEsend command in the controlsource of the textfield. The command I used is this "DDESend("Excel", "sheet1", "R1C1", [CR_NUM])" (without quotes). However nothing happens in Excel.

Can someone help me with this one?

    Thx in advance.

I believe what you want to do requires Automation. A good book for Automation is the Access Cookbook by O'Reilly. Their is just too much info on the subject to post here effectively.

A quick way to export data (not very pretty though) is to use the following: DoCmd.TransferSpreadsheet

Just enter the parameters that meet your needs.

    Hope this helps!!
Don't do today, what can be done tomorrow.
