Unanswered: How to unreplicate a database or recover from a .bak file?

    Hi folks

I'm new here, I must say well done on a great site! Hey, does anybody know how to unreplicate a database? I replicated a database for Internet synchronisation but discovered that it was too awkward with the need to install software on the Internet Server. The replication is now proving to be a nuisance as the ID numbers are just too long and cumbersome when coding in ASP.

If there is no way of un-replicating the database, how do you recover the old database from the *.bak backup copy that access made before it was replicated?

    Kind Regards

I thought that you could just change the .bak to a .mdb and place it somewhere. Of course, then you need to import the data...
