    Unanswered: grammatically format an Access report to Landscape

    grammatically format a report to Landscape

    How do I programmatically format a report so that when I launch it as in the code snippet below, it shows up in landscape form (or at least prints in landscape)??

    Code snippet:

    strDocName = "rptForOptions_1_2_5"

    ' Print report
    DoCmd.OpenReport strDocName, acViewPreview, "Blip Sheet Filter"

    I don't think it can be done.

    You normally use File | Page Setup.. to set the way you want the report to print before you save it. It is then saved with the report.

    Does it mean that all the user can do is, at the time of printing, set the layout to landscape (manually)?

    No I have saved reports to print in landscape format and they do every time. The end user didnt have to change anything.
    Give it a go and let us know

    There was a bug in Access 2000 where setting the print to landscape didn't hold.... Microsoft put a fix for it, in a SR. So if you keep having to change to landscape, even though you saved the report take a look for the SR.
