    Unanswered: Db2 + java

Hi, i'm using db2 udb on an aix box. I was wondering does db2 have to have some special parameters set for dynamic caching. I'm using prepared statements in my java app and I haven't been getting the performance I expected

As far as I know up to 7.2, I do not think there is one specific, and I am also into the preparedStatement boat.. not just performance but some weird error poping up from time to time, The application that I am porting to DB2 uses tons of Dynamic SQL and batch prepared statements and I have had to decuple the batchs and do ExecuteQuery directly.. and that a least is giving me some extra performance.
Unless I am mistaken, DB2 works much better when it works with static SQL by means of PACKAGES, that way DB2 can maintaing its own internal execution path "cached" .

    my 2 cents.

static sql/embedded sql = sqlj this will run a lot faster than JDBC.
What kind of weird errors are you getting? From my experience JDBC2.0 has an unstable driver that leads to weird dr. watson application errors.
