    Post Unanswered: Navigation!!??

    Hi, I am having a little dificulty with the navigation in my mdb.

    I now have back buttons, that uses globals to keep track of the record ID and page name of the previous page.

    On close form I set the globals like this:

    -------------
    glFormName = "PDO"
    glKeyID = Me.PDO_ID
    glKeyIdControlName = "PDO_ID"
    -------------

    And when someone clicks a back button I use this code:

    ---------------
    stLinkCriteria = "[" & glKeyIdControlName & "]" & " =" & glKeyID

    DoCmd.DoMenuItem acFormBar, acRecordsMenu, acSaveRecord, , acMenuVer70

    DoCmd.OpenForm glFormName , , , stLinkCriteria
    ---------------

    The problem is that when people come back to the same form they were looking at earlier at the same record, it is in filtered mode. So they can not browse from this record.

    Can I release the filter on open and still have them viewing the record set by the glKeyID?

    Or could I use some other way? Like go to record instead of using this linkcriteria stuff?

    Thaks for your time,

    Jo´

    Instead of the line:
    DoCmd.OpenForm glFormName , , , stLinkCriteria

    paste the following:

    DoCmd.OpenForm glFormName
    With Forms(glFormName).RecordsetClone
    .FindFirst stLinkCriteria
    Forms(glFormName).Bookmark = .Bookmark
    End With

    That should do the trick
