Red face Unanswered: access hangs on deleting records sometimes

    hello out there!

i have a strange problem with my access-database.

if i try to delete a record by marking it in a continous form and pressing "del" or the delete-button in the menu access sometimes completly stops responding. only killing it by task-manager helps.
after this the record isn't deleted.

generally a messagebox appears asking if i really want to delete the record - this box does not appear but the CPU is working for 100%

right in the moment i cannot reproduce it :-) but i think deleting directly from the table-view works.

    is there something similar known?
i am using access 2000 on winNT.

    thx

Is this database shared on a network? If so, it's caused by no response from the server.

no. database is splitted in front-end and data - but everything on the same machine.
